thunderstorm today. the middle of the date should be dry. we have a slight chance for thunderstorms later in the day. high temperature around 90 degrees. we will check the forecast for the upcoming weekend when we come back. >> we're dealing with the remnants of that storm with some downed trees in baltimore county. there is an accident eastbound 40. watch for that. there are some lane closures traveling eastward. the storms came through last night. a downed tree continues to block blue mountain. rest of the major roadways are in good shape. 11 minutes on the northeast outer loop. several minutes to travel southbound 895 down to the harbor tunnel tolls.

in howard county, police are looking for the preppy murder. police are asking anyone who may have information or who might recognize this man to call their tip line. >> defense attorneys grilled the lead detective in the ken harris of murder trial. the question the validity of evidence obtained from the train. three suspects are accused of killing the former councilman in 2008. the detective continues his testimony later on this morning. a white supremacist accused of beating a freshman has turned in a surprise guilty plea. calvin lockner agreed to a prison term after pleading guilty to armed carjacking and

well, as well as the major bridges. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> a shocking story out of georgia or a babysitter is accused of murdering the child in her care. police say she told police the child had fallen out of bed. the autopsy proved the trauma the child suffered was not from the fall. in louisiana, a father is accused of chaney his daughter to a chair for months. the 11-year-old had been cuffed to the chair only to be released to go to the bathroom and to school. donald miller and his girlfriend face another of charges. his other children are also in the custody of protective services now. a former police officer has been sentenced to three years for

covered up deadly shootings after hurricane katrina. this was admitted to a week after the storm hit. those shootings killed two and wounded four others. he was the first one sentence. >> nearly 5 billion cans of baby formula are being recalled over fears they could be contaminated by bugs. there is no serious health risk. the straight below parts could cause minor health problems. you can head to our website for more information. if you own a honda accord, you might want to keep a close eye on it. it is the most stolen car for 2009. the honda civic was second.
